A candidate may appear in your search results even if their current location is different from the location you searched for.

This can happen when:

  • The location is mentioned on the candidate’s CV, for example as a current or previous work location.

  • The candidate has previously applied for a job based in that location.

For example, if a candidate lives in London but previously applied for a job in Manchester, Manchester may be included as one of their searchable locations. This means the candidate could appear when you search for candidates in Manchester, even though they currently live elsewhere.
