If a candidate's CV is viewed in WaveTrackR:
- Reed
recognises that the CV has been viewed.
- Reed
will mark the candidate as “Viewed”.
- Opening
the same CV again will not normally consume another download credit,
unless enough time has passed for Reed to reset access permissions.
If a candidate's CV is viewed directly in Reed:
- WaveTrackR
currently does not know that the CV has been viewed externally in
Reed.
- Therefore,
the candidate will not automatically appear as viewed inside WTR unless accessed through WTR itself.
Does opening a CV multiple times consume additional
download credits?
Usually, no.
Both Reed direct and WaveTrackR follow Reed’s access rules:
- Re-opening
a previously accessed CV does not normally consume another credit.
- However,
after Reed’s reset period, a new credit may be required again.
Reed has confirmed that for subscription customers: Download/view
access resets at midnight
If a CV is opened in WaveTrackR and then later opened directly in Reed, does it consume another credit?
Typically, no, provided it is within Reed’s active
access period.
If enough time has passed (after Reed’s reset window), Reed
may treat this as a new access and consume another credit.
How do “Previously Viewed Candidates” work?
- WaveTrackR
only tracks candidates viewed within WTR itself.
- WTR
currently does not receive visibility of candidates viewed directly
on Reed.
- Reed,
however, can see candidate access from both:
- Reed
direct
- WaveTrackR
This means:
- Reed’s
“Viewed” status may be broader than the viewed status shown inside WTR.
Previously
viewed tracking in WTR is currently limited to WTR activity only
Current limitation / future improvement
At present:
- Reed
can detect views originating from WaveTrackR.
- WaveTrackR
cannot yet detect CV views that happened directly on Reed.
This has been identified as a potential future improvement.
