In the 'Add New Category' window populate field as described below.

  1. Add the category name
Enter the name of the category you want to create. Make sure it is clear and relevant to the content it will represent.

  2. Slug (SEO-friendly URL)
The slug is the part of the URL that identifies the category in a search engine-friendly way. It will be automatically generated based on the category name, so you can leave this field empty unless you want to customise it.

  3. Parent category (for subcategories)
If you are creating a subcategory, select the parent category from the dropdown menu. If it is a main category, leave this field set to 'None'.

  4. Category description
Provide a clear and informative description of the category. This description will appear on your website, so ensure it is free from spelling errors, easy to read, and includes relevant keywords related to the category. A good description helps users and improves SEO.

  5. Save the category
Once all the fields are completed, click the 'Add New Category' button to save your changes.
